Chris Oleson, PGA
Chris started his professional career at Little Bennett Golf Club in Clarksburg, Maryland prior to its opening in 1994 until 2009. He earned his PGA Professional accreditation in 2001. Chris loves playing tournaments and won his first in 2010, the MAPGA Northern Chapter Championship. He is currently the Director of Instruction at Paint Branch Golf Club and the Assistant Professional at the University of Maryland, College Park. Chris is using a revolutionary methodology of coaching; scoring to guarantee results. He has a wealth of experience teaching, knowledge of Kinesiology, study of human movement, sport fitness and golf equipment. He is TPI Certified, K-Vest Certified and a Certified Putting Zone coach and uses advanced video technology. Chris started the Florida Schools in 2006 and it has grown ever since.
Rick Sargent, PGA
Rick began at AFA w All-American honors in 1979&1980 while on active duty (1980-1985) won worldwide Air Force Championship (3X) & All-Service Championship (2X). He then played professionally (1985-1988) with a few mini-tour wins but failure at PGA Tour Qualifying schools. Rick became a PGA professional in '88 with Class A status in '94 while managing Kissimmee Golf Club until 2009. During that time he taught thousands of students while running golf course and competing in numerous Chapter/Section/National events... winning at all levels, playing on 10 N. Fla Cup teams and named No. Fla Sctn. Senior Player of the Year in 2009. He operated and taught "Rick Sargent Golf Instruction" at Kissimmee Bay/Remington GC's 2009-12, teaching hundreds of students each year. Since 2012, he has been a caddie at the premier Firestone CC, Ohio, regular stop on the PGA Tour, 160+ rounds each summer while instructing with Chris Oleson's Florida Golf Schools in Kissimmee/Orlando during the winter months. Also, Rick has been at KGC and coached Osceola HS golf team for 10 years winning multiple Conference and District Championships with one appearance in State Finals.
Ashley Grier, PGA
Ashley has been an instructor for the Florida schools since 2011 and is currently the PGA Assistant Professional at Overbrook Golf Club, PA and prior to that she was at Columbia Country Club since 2012. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration. Ashley played on LPGA's Future Tour for 4 years after college. She has been on the staff at Beaver Creek Country Club in Hagerstown, MD, Ridgewood Lakes and Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, FL. Ashley won the 2013 PGA National Women's Stroke Play Championship, the 2014 Maryland State Women's Open and has been named the Mid-Atlantic PGA Women's Player of the Year for the past three consecutive years.
Justin Diggs, PGA
Justin is currently the PGA Assistant at Manchester Country Club in NH. He studied the PGM program at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore MD. He has been an instructor for the Florida schools since 2017. Justin is an accomplished player including the final group at his high school state championship in 2015. He attended St. John's College High School on a baseball scholarship. You can expect the newest technology advice from Justin.
